Public Execution: The name pretty much says it all, crashing into view
with angry intent, then taken out one by one.

Brisbane circa 1981 was a tragic circus. Things of concern for the young and disfranchised of this isolated burg included the dreaded
Commonwealth Games in your backyard, the steel grip of Joh Bjelke Peterson as premier of the state and a police force who bash and arrest before asking any questions.

But all festering cesspools eventually spit something out. Rabid grinding punk rock. Enter Public Execution.

Starting out as a powerhouse trio of Terry Devery (vocals/bass) Steve
Playford (guitar) and Fred Noonan (drums) their live performances become legendary, primal punk rock in their own unique style. They release their first self funded single SS Brigade/Methadone Slave later in the year, now a certified Australian classic of the genre. 1983 they record more tracks as a 4 piece featuring Lindsay Dalgliesh on bass that were never released until the compilation on Short Fuse Records 2013. Supporting The Dead Kennedys that year, Jello Biafia refers to them as one of the most unhinged bands he's seen in Australia. By 1984, nothing remained. Drugs, death and depression took over.

Now, nearly 40 years later, the original trio has regrouped and hit the
stage and studio again. Kicked back into action after the the 2013 comp,Terry and the boys have returned with the same passion and grunt that drove them back in the days with the limited edition 45 American Hardcore/The Deal. Welcome to the true world of kick arse punk.
